Elisabeth Åsbrink works as a columnist and literary critic. She contributes to the Swedish daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter and the Danish weekly newspaper Weekend Avisen among others.

She is a sought-after speaker on topics regarding Swedish self-image, Sweden during World War II and European fascism and also talks about writing and research methods

Since her literary debut in 2009, she has combined her non fiction writing with play writing and public talks at libraries, literature festivals and universities, and have lectured in Germany, Austria, Poland, Denmark, Norway and Slovakia.
